Congratulations to my fellow independents and to everyone else who was elected. The people of Spennymoor have chosen us to represent them. Let’s put aside party politics and personal differences, and focus on doing just that – working for our community.

It takes real courage to stand in an election, to put yourself forward and fight for what you believe in. No matter the outcome, your effort deserves genuine respect.
