Why did I stand for election?
Quite simply, because I believe in representing the true voice of our community. As a life long resident, I have seen firsthand the strengths of our town and the challenges it faces.
My commitment is to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective communication between the council and the town’s residents. I am passionate about improving local services, supporting our businesses, and fostering a sense of community pride.
I strongly believe that there is no place for party politics on a town council, so with no party affiliations, my sole focus is on what is best for Spennymoor and its people.
During the election campaign, I made a promise to remain an Independent and I will keep the promise, I will not be switching parties to suit any personal agenda or to further my own ambitions.
Together, we can make a positive impact on our town’s future.

I plan to prioritise financial accountability by ensuring transparency, oversight, and responsible budgeting.

I will act as a strong voice for all residents, ensuring their concerns and ideas are heard and acted upon without party influence.
